Team news October 2026 – partnerships, charity support and a new recruit

Lots going on in and out of the office at the moment!

The team continue to build relationships with key industry partners so that we can ensure the best possible service for our clients. Recently, that’s included an invitation to Aviva’s 110 Conference for their top independent brokers, alongside ongoing informal networking throughout the insurance world. Spending time with our insurer partners helps us build the connections we need to resolve queries, negotiate cover and support clients when they need us.

Five members of the team also joined Allianz for a treasure hunt around Newcastle – a chance to catch up with industry colleagues while putting their navigation and problem-solving skills to the test!

Outside of work, we’ve been supporting a range of charities. Members of the team attended the Poppy’s Light Foundation summer party, supporting the charity’s work with young people and families affected by inherited cardiac conditions. Paula, Matthew, Colin, Jodi, Nat and Megan (see photo) also attended an event in support of Suubi Africa, which helps vulnerable children and families in Uganda.

Meanwhile, Paula and her family took on a sponsored inflatable challenge, raising over £5,000 for St Cuthbert’s Hospice. A fantastic result for a charity that provides care and support to people with life-limiting illnesses and their families across County Durham. Well done to everyone involved, and thank you to those who supported them.

There’s also been support for Paula’s son’s downhill mountain biking, with Park client Woven sponsoring his clothing and equipment – thank you to the Woven team.

Finally, we’re looking forward to welcoming a new apprentice in a few weeks’ time. It’s another step in developing the next generation at Park, giving someone the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues and build a career in insurance. We’ll introduce our newest team member soon – watch this space!
