We’re very pleased to welcome our newest member of the team at Park Commercial, Matthew, who has recently joined us as an apprentice. Matthew follows in the footsteps of Megan and Oliver, who have now been with us for a year. Megan and Oliver have both recently completed part two of their Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Insurance qualification with the final exam coming in Q1 of 2026. They are moving into new roles in the business in January – Megan will be taking an account handling role and Oliver will be working in the small business unit  – they’ve become valued members of the Park team. We’re so pleased to have all three with us and we are delighted with their progress.

As we head towards the end of the year, the team has been busy doing what we always aim to do — providing the best possible service for our clients in the run-up to the holidays. Alongside this, we’ve also enjoyed catching up with insurer partners at a number of festive events, including a fun games evening with Aviva in Newcastle and the annual Lord’s Taverners Christmas Lunch.

We’ve also continued to support our local community this Christmas. This year we’ve been collecting for North East–based charity Feeding Families, which works to tackle food poverty by providing emergency food support, meals for children during school holidays, and longer-term help for families facing hardship across the region. Their work makes a real difference locally, particularly at this time of year.

In the office, we’ve embraced the festive spirit too. Highlights have included our Best Wrapped Chair competition, Grinch Thursday (our favourite), and Figgy Pudding Friday, all of which provided some welcome light relief during a busy period.
